Instructions for using The Secrets Box portable cooler with a power connection (USB)

1. Loading medications: Place your insulin pens, vials, syringes, or other medications inside the USB lid compartment as shown in the images.
2. Closing and connecting: Close your small travel cooler and connect it to a power source. That's it!

The USB cooler is compatible with any USB power source, including car cigarette lighters, portable power banks, solar panels, and household power outlets.

Cooling performance with USB connection

We test all our medical travel coolers in the lab. When connected to a power source, The Secrets Box portable cooler demonstrates unprecedented cooling performance:
It maintains a consistent, refrigerator-like internal temperature range of 2-8°C (36-46°F) indefinitely, provided the outside temperature does not exceed 35°C (95°F).

Instructions for using The Secrets Box mini insulin cooler with ice packs (Cold Packs)

The Secrets Box comes with a backup cooling function that can be used when electricity is unavailable. In such a case, use the included Biogel ice pack to transport insulin and medications while keeping them cool.

1. Prepare the Biogel: For even distribution, shake the Biogel ice pack up and down 4 or 5 times.
2. Then, simply place the Biogel ice pack in the freezer for 6-8 hours before use. (It's fine to leave it in the freezer for more than 8 hours).
3. When you need to use it, submerge the ice pack in lukewarm tap water for 120-180 seconds before inserting it into the insulated cooling bottle. In the absence of lukewarm water, leave it out for 15-20 minutes before use; however, the lukewarm water method is more effective year-round and in various seasonal temperatures. Performing one of these procedures will remove the ice layer (frost) from the surface of the cooling component, preventing the risk of freezing your medication upon direct contact.
4. Gently wipe the Biogel with a towel and place the insulin or medication into The Secrets Box cooling bottle, along with the frozen ice pack.
5. Close the lid tightly. It's that simple!

Cooling performance with ice packs

When used without electricity in remote (off-grid) travel situations, The Secrets Box portable insulin cooler still offers you ample time to keep your medications cool. It all depends on how hot it is outside!

• When the outside temperature is 30°C (86°F), it keeps insulin and medications at a refrigerator temperature of 2-8°C for 33 hours, and cool below 26°C for 52 hours.
• When the outside temperature is 35°C (95°F), it keeps insulin and medications at a refrigerator temperature of 2-8°C for 30 hours, and cool below 26°C for 48 hours.
• When the outside temperature is 40°C (104°F), it keeps insulin and medications at a refrigerator temperature of 2-8°C for 28 hours, and below 26°C for 46 hours.

Maintenance and cleaning instructions

When using with the USB lid, do not use the mini cooler when it is inverted.
Most importantly, do not cover or block the heat dissipation holes above the USB lid. Failure to observe this precaution will weaken the cooling effect and damage the device.

Every few weeks, you can use an air compressor or a hairdryer set to cold to blow air into the dissipation holes of the USB lid to remove internal dust. This action will extend the product's lifespan and ensure optimal performance.

We highly recommend disconnecting the cooling lid (USB) for 15-20 minutes for rest after 4 days of continuous use, in order to extend the product's lifespan.

Cleaning instructions:

1. Do not directly clean the exterior of The Secrets Box with water, as this will damage the electronic components.
2. You can use a damp cloth to gently wipe the stainless steel thermos and the stainless steel lid manually.
3. The Biogel-Ice Pack should be cleaned only with a soft cloth.
4. The top part of the USB lid can be cleaned only by blowing air into the dissipation holes, and the aluminum tube should only be wiped with a soft cloth.
5. If there are signs of oxidation on the surface of the aluminum tube in the USB lid, wipe and clean it with an aluminum cleaner. Since the material is aluminum with good thermal conductivity, oxidation is a normal phenomenon.
